AB - This study investigated the method of bibliographical description of Nupango, or an Annotated Classified Bibliography of Wood-block Printing Plates, which was edited by Pungseok Seo Yu-gu's in 1796 by the King's command, Joseon Dynasty. The bibliographical description was examined regarding title, volume number, written age, name of author, functional word of authorship, notes, and noteworthy examples. It was a limitation that indicated the lack of unity and coherence in the bibliographical description of Nupango. However, its great significance in the history of bibliographical description can be found in the fact that Seo Yu-gu established entries for annotated works based on his own methods of description.
