ABSTRACT

Among Gaegookwonjonggongsinnokgwons of early Joseon Dynasty, this research had analyzed content and reasons of issue of 『李薿開國原從功臣錄券(Leuigaegookwonjonggongsinnokgwon)』. Furthermore, with data of Gaegookwon- jonggongsinnokgwons of early Joseon Dynasty which was discovered in genealogy of people, this study was able to consider it as a useful source. Throughout the research, such following facts were identified. First, a fact that 28 people including Ryu Man-Soo(柳蔓殊), Lee-Eui(李薿), Guem Eui-Gwi(金乙貴) had received designation of Wonjong meritorious retainer(原從功臣) can be ascertained by the article of 『太祖實錄(Taejosillok)』 ‘October 9, 1392 (Jeongsa(丁巳) Jo(條)’. By comparison of the article and the content of Nokgwon, it was recognized that Lee-Eui(李薿) was a person who was given designation of ‘Leuigaegookwonjonggongsinnokgwon’. Second, during process of arranging data of Gaegookgongsin and Gaegookwonjong- gongsinnokgwon in genealogy, designation records of Lee-Jik(李稷), Ban-Chung(潘忠), Guem Seong-Bu(金重寶), Gwon Jung-Hwa(權仲和) and other people were observed. These records are worthwhile for they are considered as valuable sources for validations of the designations as secondary sources whether they are currently extant or not. Third, including Lee-Eui(李薿), 28 names of receivers that are stated in 『Leuigaegookwonjonggongsinnokgwon』, matches with the records of 『太祖實錄(Taejosillok)』 except one receiver’s name. In addition, 11 receivers out of 28 receivers were designated as Hoegun meritorious retainer(回軍功臣). Fourth, 『Leuigaegookwonjonggongsinnokgwon』 had been issued in early period of Joseon Dynasty, which is undoubtedly assumed to be conducive to further researches of Gaegookwonjonggongsinnokgwon. In addition, records of Gaegoodwonjonggongsinnokgwon, which was noticed in genealogy will also be able to extend future researches as secondary sources.
