A Study on the Old-printed Version Novels’ Censored Edition and Nap-bon

ABSTRACT

This article examines 650 ancient type settings existing in the National Library of Korea, and explains the fact that these materials were inspected and deposited in the Japanese colonial period, and examined the censorship process and the characteristics of censorship. According to the data of the National Library of Korea, the Old Type Textbook has been censored by submitting a manuscript published in advance, and it seems that most of the censorship has passed without much notice. The reason for this is that the date of publication in the license plate and the date of publication approval are almost identical But the element of the main censorship of old style novels was on the cover. This can be seen through the sehaepungpa. The previous one was that the Japanese had been used as the cover, and the latter was the object of censorship because of the drawing of Taegeukgi. In the case of the old type novel, it seems that the censorship passed through the censorship process unlike the contemporary literature, magazines, and socialist books. This is confirmed by several known statistics. Due to this, the old type textbooks boomed during the Japanese colonial period and resulted in a situation where the same works were mixed up by each publisher. In the meantime, the research on the old type textbook existing in the National Library of Korea has been studied from the book (bibliography) to the analysis of the work, and it has been discussed only in the viewpoint of the novel of the novel. However, it is necessary to recognize the fact that these materials are not only treated as mere jibbons but censored copies and deposits that were censored by submitting them to the jurisdiction of the Japanese colonial rule.
