AB - Compared with the influence of the infectious disease on the late Chosun society, precedent research is very limited. Since many epidemic texts of late Joseon are passed down by manuscripts, bibliographic research is necessary before full-scale content research. This paper confirms the original text of Collection of Smallpoxology (Dugwa-hwipyeon) and discusses the significance and limitations of publishing Joseon. Collection of Smallpoxology as a medical book of smallpox written by Zhai Liang has had many influences on East Asian smallpoxology, published several times in the Qing and also in the woods in Joseon. This book’s publication in Gyeongsang-Gamyeong was published with only some modifications based on the version of chihwadang published in China in 1773, This version is the only version published in Chosun. The composition of this book is similar to Experience prescriptions on Smallpox (Duchang-gyeongheombang)’s composition which was used at the time in Chosun, and its contents are well - organized and well - organized and could serve as a comprehensive guide to smallpox treatment.
