AB - The typical cases of old historical manuscripts showing the background and process of wood block printing are Gan․yeok․yil․gi(刊役日記) and Gan․yeok․so․yong․ha․gi(刊役所用下記). This study focused on Gan․yeok․so․yong․ha․gi, which recorded expenditures spent on the publishing of wood printing blocks. This study examined the process and expenditure of biography publishing by analyzing Gan․yeok․so․yong․ha․gi, which was written when Choi jinlib’s(崔震立, 1568∼1636) biography was published in Yongsan-seowon(龍山書院), Gyeongju(慶州) in 1784. This study examined the characteristics of Gan․yeok․so․yong․ha․gi, which was the account book kept on the process of publishing the wood block printing biography, the amount of money spent on biography publishing, the situation conjectured from the details of the expenditure, goods and materials required in the publishing work, incomes and expenses related to the publishing, etc.
