AB - The purpose of this study is to examine how the various characteristic factors that were prominent in the process of organizing the French nuclear industry from the beginning of nuclear power research and development before and after World War II to the end of the 1960s were formed and converged, and how they interacted with each other in the growth of the French nuclear industry. For this, in Chapter 2, we will look into the creation of the CEA in 1945, the implementation of military nuclear programs, and the development of french-style nuclear reactor technologies represented by Gas-Graphite Reactor, and then, in Chapter 3, the growth of the French nuclear industry by rapidly accelerating nuclear power generation through the implementation of civilian nuclear power program.
