ABSTRACT

Twenty years ago, Korean Review of French History(KRFH) was born with the creation of the Korean Association of French History. The history of the KRFH shows the itinerary of research development on French history in South Korea. The research on French history that began with the first topics around the old regime and the French Revolution, the labor movement and socialism. develop through KRFH in various fields of research: business history, urban history, feminist history, history of cinema, history of migration etc. By including the period of the Vichy government and movement 68 as the new subject, and with the development of research on medieval history, its dimension is expanding and the new generation of researchers interested in colonialism and racism gives attention to new territories such as Africa and Indo-China with geographical expansion.
