ABSTRACT

E-government refers to the delivery of government information and services online through the Internet or other digital means. As the Internet has become a major way to communicate with the general public, governmental units are utilizing electronic forms of mass communications to deal with citizens. The Website represents a major opportunity for the local government to better the ways by which it interacts with the local residents. As We approach to Website's evaluation trends in public sector, Website's evaluation becomes one of our important objectives. In this report, we study the features that are available survey at the local government website. In general, we find that governments have made excellent progress on developing "one-stop" portals that integrate web service delivery. While there remain problems in the areas of privacy, security, and special needs populations such as the handicapped. We close by making some practical suggestions for improving the delivery of government information and services over the Internet
