AB - The main objective of this paper is to analyze travel characteristics and mode choice behavior of the transportation handicapped in an urban area. The paper uses data collected from Gyeongsan City. So far few researches have been conducted on analyzing travel characteristics and mode choice behavior of the transportation handicapped. From descriptive statistical analysis of various travel characteristics of the transportation handicapped and empirical estimation of logit models for analyzing mode choice behavior of the transportation handicapped, some important foundings are derived and discussed. Furthermore, some policy implications are discussed.
