AB - his study examines library-integrated complex cultural spaces as public spaces that promote staying and connection rather than merely combining facilities. Domestic and international cases collected from September 2025 to February 2026 were qualitatively analyzed across eight types: sports and wellness, performance and exhibition, larchiveum, care and welfare, administrative and public services, children’s play and experience, plazas and open spaces, and commercial and convenience facilities. The findings indicate that their value lies not in the number of functions but in the integration of spaces, services, programs, local resources, and operational systems around the library’s public mission. Staying, connection, publicness, convergence, and operational sustainability emerged as key characteristics. Future development should therefore emphasize integrated design centered on user experience and community connection.
