AB - This study aims to examine the everyday life information seeking behavior of Nepali international students in the settlement stage who have resided in South Korea for 18 months or less. A survey was conducted with Nepali international students enrolled at a university in South Korea, and 112 responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation analysis, t-tests, and one-way analysis of variance. The results showed that academic information was the most frequently reported information need, followed by daily living information and health and medical information. Preferred information sources, information acquisition rates, satisfaction, and trust varied across information-need topics. Academic information showed the highest levels of information acquisition, satisfaction, and trust, whereas employment and financial information showed relatively lower levels across all three indicators. Female students used social media more frequently than male students and reported higher levels of satisfaction with everyday life information across several topics. Students with longer residence periods showed relatively higher satisfaction with employment information. This study examines the linguistic characteristics of Nepali international students and their use of information sources, including generative AI, and provides implications for improving information support services for international students.
