AB - Parental Leave is a policy instrument for women's employment extension. However, since November of 2001, when paid parental leave started, there are few studies about parental leave's policy goal achievability. This work analyzes data of Employment Insurance to measure the policy impact of parental leave. According to the result of the analysis, use of parental leave leaves negative impact to women's employment extension. This is due to psychological and environmental factors. The key factor to women's employment extension is the size of the company. In order to promote parental leave's employment extension, we need to compose parental leave by the size of the company.
