AB - Intellectual property is becoming important as a means of attracting and promoting the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Foreign countries are strengthening intellectual property rights and building an intellectual property administrative system to cope with the fourth industrial revolution. In Korea, Intellectual Property Committee and Intellectual Property Office deal with intellectual property policy. However, a decentralized system without a control tower is a barrier to rapid and effective policy response. Therefore, those who are interested in intellectual property prefer the creation of a department of intellectual property, which acts as a control tower, and a strong central administration system. An alternative is to improve the system that gives the Patent Office and the Intellectual Property Committee a control tower function.
