AB - While taking a look on the official invitational & DIMF Musical Seed,the purpose of this research is to learn how the Dague International MusicalFestival(DIMF) should help the musical industry development & appropriateness as being the local fair, and how DIMF’s objective causes friction. In the case of selecting the foreign official invited work, the low quality of the work, the sympathy problem, and the burden of the work scale has caused making the concert hall expand excessively. In the caseof the domestic official invited work has a goal in reflecting the identity of the local area(Dague), while consisting various works for the worldmarket. DIMF works accounted over 38% in covering Dague areas’production, also to export musicals it had participated in international projects, moreover, once source multi use, story-telling subjects forinter national use, and the Korean wave works had been selected. However, these kind of limits had limited people from various back grounds to seeother various works, in which had led to limit its selection of work, alsonot being able to select high class works. The selection of work of the domestic official work tended to weigh its value more on the popularity rather than the experimental nature. Modified romantic comedy was usedfor the story-telling subjects, and by selecting existing showcases or other content works, it had showed more interest in having a box office profit rather than developing a new work. Eventually, DIMF was not able to mediate the difference between the interest of the economic added value & ‘the popularity’ in which a lot of people could enjoy various works,hence, it could be explained that DIMF was not able to overcome of being more than just a Festival.
