ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of enhancing teachers' digital literacy and developing new teaching materials by creating an app for learning recorder in the third grade of elementary school using the app inventor. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has been implementing SMART education since 2012, and in the 2022 revised curriculum, related classes in elementary and middle schools are scheduled to double in preparation for the artificial intelligence (AI) era. In the meantime, smart education has been conducted at the level of using smart devices and mobile media-based virtual instrument apps in music education, so related research is needed to enable teachers to develop and use apps necessary for classes. Therefore, in this study, through App Inventor, a smartphone-based educational programming language, an application was actually designed and produced for 3rd graders of elementary school to practice the recorder on their own, and the coding process was provided in detail. Through this study, it is expected that teachers will design and develop themselves according to their needs in the field, laying the foundation for practical app production in music teaching and learning activities.
