AB - Western people's understanding of diseases of mind which have been growing on the context of their culture or spirit and Philosophical consultation or logotheraphy aiming at healing them are outgrowth of their context. But is it possible to apply them to Korean people who belong to another context of culture or spirit? In order to grope a basis for querying the appropriateness of them, the concept of diseases of the mind and methods of healing the mind which are familiar to Korean people are surveyed in this paper.
Many kinds of experience relating to the diseases of the mind and the history of conceptualization of them in the books from the Pre-Chin era to Sung China era, which seem to have taken part so long time and so deeply in making Korean people's experience of their mind.
The main items of this paper will be proto-type of Chinese people's experiences of the mind in Chunqiu time, Experiences and principles of the mind of Confucianism and Taoism, and meaning and illustrations of diseases of the mind mainly on the context of the Confucianism.
