AB - This paper is focused on the problem ‘The rhetoric for Engineers’. In this paper, especially, this problem is discussed with ‘Presentation and Debate’ as the central figure. Rhetorical argumentation also have led students to seek an expression that is able to reach persuasively for audience with regard to understanding and response of one by finding problem about various subjects that can be discussed in the world of life, by constructing the reasons for the most appropriate argument with regard to one’s understanding and response, by presenting datum to support the reasons for an argument. In this paper, also an education of rhetorical argumentation that is demanded in the class of ‘Presentation and Debate’ will be showed to satisfy items of PO4(problem solving), PO6(cooperation ability), PO7(communication ability), PO8(lifelong education), PO9(influence understanding), PO10(current topics), PO11 (professional ethics), PO12(international cooperation) that is demanded at ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering of Korea)To achieve this, in this paper it will be discussed following items, rhetoric and argumentation that can be discussed in New Rhetoric (that) Chaim Perelman and Lucie Olberchts-Tyteca was published in 1958, the rhetoric of science of Alan Gross, engineering and rhetoric as the central figure ‘Presentation and Debate’. Here, especially, it will be discussed following problems, rhetorical analysis the preamble of the charter of ethics of NSPE(The National Society of Professional Engineers), the application of Cicero rhetoric in ‘Presentation and Debate’. Consequently, the meeting of critical thinking, argumentation and rhetoric that is comprised in the realm of Wittgenstein’s language game is concluded as productive and positive activity in our life.
