AB - The engineers must resolve the ethical problems that arise in their works. However, there are no effectively designed courses that the engineering students can take for this purpose. I argue that the students should be taught how to make the ethical argumentation in addition to learning the traditional moral theories, since critical thinking is a necessary skill that the engineers can use to resolve the ethical problems. I examine that in what way we apply the ethical argumentation skills to the decision-makings in moral conflicts, and then I suggest a decision- making model that will work appropriately. In the course, I review the critique that the moral theories are not suitable to being used in decision-makings in moral conflicts, then conclude that this critique does not weaken my argument for the necessity of the ethical argumentation.
