AB - This is a new attempt to reveal the contextual evolution of Confucian mind-learning as a fundamental research for the sake of compare the sameness and the difference in understanding the mind between the each different science or the each different culture. Confucian mind-learning had developed in the Song china, and the Confucian scholars had designed the course of attaining the goal of the mind-learning by organizing the know-hows of mind-learning in a consistent system. The Scripture of Mind is the systematized one. The Scripture includes maxims from Confucian Classics made in the Pre-Qin era and guide lines for the from confucian scholars of Song China in a text. It is remarkable that it constructed a new context of Mind learning by constructing the maxims of Classics with metaphors and logics of mind learning and thus could be a basis for the future development of mind learning.
For this reason, root metaphors that make possible the understanding mind in accordance with viewpoints of mind learning are sampled and logical structure of the learning is also examined. One of the metam is a structual metaphor in which human mind and Tao mind is in conflict and the other is orientational one that indicate for the mind to grasp the golden mean. And the logics of the mind learning consist of four principles; selecting and concentrating, golden mean, cohesion, and creature. The peculiar feature of the mind learning is to set up the mind as the most significant core and the very subject which could achieve the sage’s character by establishing the self-reinforcing, self-correcting and self-organizing methods.
