ABSTRACT

A representative feature of post-industrial societies after the twentieth century is that they are materially affluent but mentally not. The purpose of the paper is to suggest the logic-based therapy that has discussed actively in philosophical therapy as a way of healing philosophical diseases which are rampant in the post-industrial societies and to analyze the ideas of Chung Am as a provider of rules or antidotes for the philosophical diseases. I shall start from the assumption that the nature of philosophical therapy consists in the innovation of thought and examine the logic-based therapy as a very appropriate model of philosophical therapy. The paper goes as follows. In section two I shall examine the meaning of health of life briefly, suggest two types of diseases of mind and especially discuss the characteristics of philosophical diseases, and examine the identity of philosophical therapy in comparison to medical therapy and psychological therapy. In section three I shall examine the structure of practical inference shown in the logic-based therapy. Lastly, in section four, I shall discuss the idea of Chung Am at both philosophical level and ideological level and from them deduce the rules for logic-based therapy.
