AB - I think that there are two functions of Religion in human life. One is solidarity that combines society with one community. Another is conflict that struggles Human Being against each other. This is generally two aspects of religion. Concerning with religion, We are interesting with the relationship with Reason and Faith. This article aims to elucidate Cassirer's view about the idea of 18th century Enlightenment. In this paper, firstly, We will deal with general evaluation about the Enlightenment. And then we will discuss deism in England and German during the 18th century. Through that discussion, We will, secondly, find a function and role of religion, and an idea of religion concerning with today's our society. Thus, finally we will pursuit desirable relation with reason and faith in this paper.
