AB - This paper studies that the innovative problems of basic education recently in the society of domestic universities are difficult issues involved in two terms of fostering universally intellectual growth to secure productivity and competitiveness based on the logic of market economy and training professional and practical promotion to respond social need respectively.
In a sense most universities currently are trying to change liberal arts education focused on strengthening foundation and core competence. In order to strengthen core competence currently, it is true that each university has adopted an integrated liberal arts with education program both applying to its characteristic and spurring the development convergent subjects for the intellectual image. In this paper the questions happened to the convergent education are to secure the ability that the possibility of core competence is in connection with the realistic problems.
However, we have to know that core competence can be provided through acquiring ability in education rather than innately given situation. So that it demands to have strategies of convergent education program for students to practically sustain core competence. In conclusion, the most important thing in providing core competence is the learning method of variously disciplinary thinking train and heuristic education and actually applying to opportunities. So to speak we have to try to discover how to enlarge the interdisciplinary subjects for the students and provide them to find solutions.
