AB - マニラガレオン貿易は 16世紀から19世紀まで銀と絹の交易を中心にグローバル化の初期段階を成した世界史的事件である.新大陸のヌエバ・エスパーニャ( Nueva España:メキシコ) のアカプルコとマニラ間の交易, そしてこれをスペインとの連結した世界システムの認識の下に成り立った三角貿易である. しかし,マニラアカプルコ貿易をもっとグローバルで認識するようにした背景は中国人が銀を求めようと絹を売ろうと来てマニラに長期間滞留してグローバルシティとしての初期的背景を成した事件で(これはフィリピンでの華僑が登場するようになった背景なのに). ここに日本人も日本の銀で中国の絹を求めようとこの交易に同参したという事実である. しかし,カトリック布教と貿易を先に立てたスペインの政策に秀吉と家康は布教よりは貿易中心の政策を取ったが,伴天連(バテレン)追放令と26聖人殉敎事件が起こり国家秩序を守るために慶長禁教令等でカトリック布教を禁止する政策で対応する. 特に武士中心社會である徳川幕府は儒教的な上下関係の身分秩序(士農工商)を否定して「神さまの下の万民の平等」を主張するカトリック教義への反撥してキリシタン大追放令に繋がれ,マニラ-アカプルコ ガレオン貿易の参加をあきらめて鎖国政策に突入するようになる.
