AB - 大阪公立学校民族教育運動は、在日朝鮮人の学生たちに対する民族的な差別の背景に戦後日本の同和教育政策があるとして、その撤廃を訴えた。そして、そのためには日本人と在日朝鮮人の学生が互いの存在を肯定し、認め合う必要があるとして「本名を呼び․名のる運動」を進めた。 「本名を呼び․名のる運動」は民族教育運動の核心たるものであった。それと結び付いていた朝鮮の民話を教材とした授業は、朝鮮の文化に対する興味を誘発し、朝鮮に関する人文や風俗など、人間の生き方へと教育の領域を広げて行った。しかし、朝鮮の民話を素材にした教育は、加害者としての日本人の歴史性を回避している側面もあり、再考の余地があるのも確かである。このほか「考える会」の教育活動は、在日朝鮮人と日本人の学生が共に参加する創作劇も進めており、授業では文学作品を取り入れた民族教育も実施した。民族教育運動の教材として選別された文学作品は、戦後日本の民族差別の現状を写し出すものであり、教育方法論の多様化という観点では意義を持っている。しかし、人間の実存だけを強調しようとした民族教育運動の活動は植民地支配と被差別の歴史性に対する認識に欠けているため、戦後日本社会の総体的な民族差別の現状を反映するところまでは至らなかったのも事実である。
