AB - hydrogen peroxide(H₂O₂)의 산화적 손상에 의한 독성효과를 규명하기 위하여 쥐에서 분리 培養한 海馬神經細胞에 여러 농도의 hydrogen peroxide가 포함된 培養液에서 5시간 동안 처리한 다음 hydrogen peroxide가 培養 海馬神經細胞에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며 또한 hydrogen peroxide의 독성효과에 대한 한약추출물인 熱多寒少湯의 영향을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 산소자유기인 hydrogen peroxide는 MTT assay와 NR assay에 의한 세포생존율을 감소시켰고 Neurofilament의 감소 및 DNA synthesis의 감소에 의하여 생쥐의 培養 海馬神經細胞에 독성을 나타냈다. 2. 熱多寒少湯은 hydrogen peroxide의 산화적 손상에 대한 신경독성에 대하여 Neurofilament의 증가에 유의한 효과를 보였다. 3. 熱多寒少湯은 hydrogen peroxide의 산화적 손상에 대한 신경독성에 대하여 DNA synthesis양의 증가에 유의한 효과를 보였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 hydrogen peroxide는 쥐에서 분리한 海埼神經細胞에 산화적 손상에 의한 신경독성을 나타냈으며 熱多寒少湯이 hydrogen peroxide와 같은 산소자유기의 산화적 손상에 대한 방어에 효과적인 것으로 사료된다.
