ABSTRACT

(1) Objectives: This study examines how Korean snacks have expanded in overseas markets and become everyday cultural products that express Korean food culture. It focuses on how K-snacks convey Korean emotions, taste experiences, lifestyles, and modes of consumption beyond their function as export goods. (2) Methods: This study analyzes representative K-snack cases, including Choco Pie Jeong, Shin Ramyun, Banana-Flavored Milk, Melona, and Paldo Dosirak. It examines how each product constructs cultural meaning through emotional branding, spiciness, familiarity, retro appeal, differentiated taste, and local acceptance in overseas markets. Conclusions The globalization of K-snacks should be understood not merely as the expansion of product sales, but as a process through which Korean food culture enters the everyday lives of global consumers. K-snacks create familiar images of Korea through taste, packaging, branding, and repeated consumption. In this sense, Korean snacks function as a form of everyday diplomacy that communicates Korean culture through ordinary food experiences.
