AB - Marriage migrant women face various issues in their daily lives. Even if they have met the requirements for entry and immigration to Korea, they encounter many problems in real life related to their immigrant status and cultural adaptation after entry and immigration. The purpose of this paper is to establish a practical model for providing policy and legal services for crisis management resulting from the problems that marriage migrant women face in real life, based on actual consultations conducted by the researcher with the assistance of legal experts. In actual consultations, marriage migrant women identified practical problems such as voluntary and involuntary status, lack of Korean language proficiency even after naturalization, lack of trust in Koreans, limitations due to cultural adaptation, and lack of crisis awareness. Therefore, there is a need for measures to help marriage migrant women respond to crises and achieve a high quality of life and social participation.
First, as policy improvement measures, there is a need to establish and strengthen network functions and social support, implement policies to enhance Korean language education after acquiring naturalization or permanent residency, and strengthen the cooperation of related organizations.
Second, as legal improvement measures, it is necessary to improve the Immigration Control Act to ensure stable residency, improve the Nationality Act for stable acquisition of nationality, and improve the Multicultural Families Support Act.
