ABSTRACT

This paper aims to derive ways to improve the EPS-TOPIK through a survey of 511 foreign workers in the Philippines who took the EPS-TOPIK. The results are as follows: First, the number of Sejong Institutes in the Philippines should increase; second, the EPS-TOPIK should be linked to the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK); third, the EPS-TOPIK should introduce an oral exam; fourth, Korean language education should be linked to foreign workers after they enter Korea; fifth, the development of various supplementary teaching materials for self-study should be required; and lastly, the improvement of CBT testing site infrastructure should be implemented.
