Review Process


The review regulations of the Japan Institute of Chung-Ang University are as follows.


Chapter 3 Regulations for Examination

Article 1 (Content of the text) Academic studies related to Japanese studies, Japanese literature, Japanese history and culture, Japanese education, Japanese education, Japanese folklore, and other Japanese studies should not have been published in domestic and foreign journals.

Article 2 (Article Format) The paper format shall be in accordance with the paper contribution regulations set by this laboratory.

Article 3 The review of the paper (examination method) consists of itemized evaluation and comprehensive evaluation.

Article 4 (Evaluation Items) The following assessment items apply to the review of the paper: fi Originality of the contents of the paper fi Conformance of logic development fi Appropriateness of the research method fi Contribution and ripple effects of research results fi Uniformity and composition of terms

Article 5 (Receiving the thesis) shall be received in accordance with the regulations for the contribution of the paper, and the editorial committee shall notify the writer of the receipt. However, papers that do not comply with all the provisions of the statement are not accepted.

Article 6 (Request for examination) The editorial committee shall select three expert examiners in the relevant field and request an examination.

Article 7 (1st round of examination) The judges shall not delay the examination of the papers commissioned by the editorial committee without justifiable reasons, and shall evaluate fairly and strictly according to the following standards and notify the editorial committee of the results thereof:

 100 to 90 points: Very good as an academic paper. Little modification is required.

 89~75 points: Excellent as an academic paper, but requires some modifications. After reviewing whether the amendments are implemented, the decision is made to publish them.

 74 to 60 points: Normal as an academic paper. This paper requires considerable modification in terms of content and stay, and requires re-examination after modification. There is a possibility that the publication of the thesis may be delayed to the next issue.

 59 to 0 points: Very insufficient as an academic paper. a paper which cannot be published


Article 8 (Second Review) The editorial committee shall review the results of the examination by the judges and determine whether to publish and re-examine in accordance with the following evaluation scores and procedures: When the reviewer finds any violation of research ethics regulations, he/she shall immediately notify the editorial committee.


However, the evaluation score of the second evaluation means the average score of the final evaluation score of the three judges.

Article 9 When a contributor's objection to the examination results is filed, the editorial committee shall convene an editorial committee to examine the details of the content in detail, and if the contributor's objection is deemed reasonable, the editorial committee shall re-elect some judges to review the paper and confirm the decision as the final result.
