AB - 다양한 사모펀드 영역 중 기업재무구조와 밀접한 관련이 있는 Private Equity와 Private Debt이 최근 수년간 국내외적으로 주목받고 있다. 선진 자본시장에서 Private Equity는 성숙기에 접어들어 대체투자의 대표적인 영역으로 자리 잡았으나 Private Debt은 부실채권을 중심으로 발전하여 오다가 금융위기 이후 유럽을 중심으로 직접대출 분야가 성장하며 주목받는 사모펀드 분야로 성장하고 있다. 국내 Private Equity 시장은 PEF의 도입 이후 지난 10여 년 간 양적으로 급속하게 성장하였으나 재무적 투자가 다수를 차지하며 기업경영 개선과 구조조정의 중심으로 자리 잡고 있지 못하고 있으며, Private Debt 시장은 현재 M&A 인수금융이 대부분을 차지하고 있으나 향후 제도의 정비와 더불어 다양한 분야의 성장이 예상된다. 사모펀드의 특징이 정보비대칭성 완화를 통한 자금중개의 효율성 제고에 있으므로 국내 사모펀드 시장도 가치제고 및 고위험 투자역량의 강화와 자금중개의 전문성 배양을 위해 힘쓸 필요가 있다.
