ABSTRACT

This paper aims to present future research directions by qualitatively analyzing academic journal papers that focus on educational content and teaching and learning methods for Vietnamese Korean learners. The analysis reveals a need for further research on meaning, conversation, literature, and culture in Korean education. While there are numerous studies on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary education, there are still many other topics that require investigation. The presentation of specific educational measures or the verification of educational methods related to the educational content was found to be lacking. Research on teaching and learning methods lacks the same level of research as Korean educational content. Language skill education, strategies, and defining factors of learners are the main areas of research on teaching and learning methods. In the future, research should be conducted on various topics to advance Korean language education. Specifically, there should be more emphasis on research concerning the curriculum, textbooks, and teacher factors.
