AB - Recently the possibility of the natural disaster has been increased around the world due to the climate change. Especially, Gangwon-do is one of the areas that the damage by storm and flood is most frequent. In 2002 and 2003, the typhoon Rusa and Maemi had generated huge losses of both life and property, resulted in increased number of natural hazard area. In this study, we analyzed the rainfall and geographical data of the Jawon-dong area, Samcheok City of Gangwon-do during the hit of typhoon Rusa, and XP-SWMM(Numerical Model) was applied to calculate the natural hazard area's river flooding and inundation range.
