AB - When the country is in crisis, it is the duty of the military to ensure the safety of the country. Internally, it is important for soldiers to have consciousness based on solid national security form their school days as well as to strive for strengthen the military's combat power through the moral education. In the reality, however, the young people appear to have low levels of the security awareness due to advances in the field of school education and changing the security education to the unification education in a 6th curriculum. In this study, in order to improve the crisis & emergency management capacity at the national level, it is starting from the ought of that it must strengthen school security education. Through analysis of previous studies, after examining the relationship between psychological military strength and the security education, we considered the transition process of the unification education at school. And the actual condition about the unification education at school was analyzed at the middle school in Gangwon Yanggu. The results are as follows. First, in terms of policy, it is necessary to enhance unification education at school, and converts the term from the unification education to the security education. Second, In terms of institutional aspect, it is required to set up strengthened measures of the governmental unification education at school, to develop the related laws and to establish the additional regulations. Third, the self-governing-body education departments and the individual schools voluntarily must have the interest in the unification education at school. Fourth, the Ministry of National Defense should adjust and control funds for unification education at school.
