AB - This study focuses on eco-friendly sports facilities. With the interest in environment increasing, representative cases to seek the measures for co-existence of sports development and environment were analyzed. The research outcomes are as follows; First, international movement for the existence of environment and sports development were attempted together through various routes such as IOC, FIFA, and Green Peace, and systematical foundation to prevent environmental destruction by sport was made. Second, after examining the transformations of eco-friendly sports facilities, it is thought that environment preservation, goods saving, and resource recycling was focused on, which changed to new energy utilization using new materials through development of scientific technology. It is expected that diffusion of this kind of study will help public understanding of eco-friendly sports facilities and provide blueprint.
