ABSTRACT
This study attempted to find the direction of an integrated program that helps the elderly with mild dementia living in the community maintain their daily life. Through reclassification of the existing programs, the effectiveness of practical intervention programs was analyzed in terms of cognitive, emotional, social and physical characteristics of the elderly with mild dementia. A total of 79 empirical research results published from 2000 to March 2020 on practical intervention programs for the elderly with dementia was analyzed using the PICO (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) model. Most of the empirical studies reported the program effect on overall cognition, improvement of memory, reduction of depression, and improvement of daily life performance ability. However, there was a lack of intervention programs related to problem-solving and computational ability in cognitive function, anxiety, anger, happiness and self-esteem in emotional aspect, family relations and friend-neighbor relations in social aspect, and instrumental daily life performance and sleep in physical aspect.
