ABSTRACT

This study is to focus on the analysis of the development of life politics and civil movement in Korea. Since the local election of 1991, the Korean civil society organizations have increased their role in various areas such as woman's political empowerment, life politics movement, citizenship education, citizen's politic, grassroots democracy. In spite of their positive role for democratization of Korean political society, there are some critics on the role and activities of their role. Some criticize that there is a gap between institutional politics and non-institutional politics. And some criticize the immature of civic publicity and the gap of citizenship education and alternative development plan. This Study bring up the needs and importance of the network for citizen politics. And foster the participatory innovation of public institution and the vitalization of the problem-posing education and action research program.
