ABSTRACT

This study searched the relationship between communication and service activity satisfaction by collegian volunteers for social service fields. I have studied whether the level of communication adaptability of volunteers with staffs of the organization, peer volunteers could affect the level of volunteering satisfaction. And, there is any difference to the level of satisfaction of volunteering whether volunteer's perception of non-verbal communication level. The data were collected through survey from the collegian volunteers with the experience of three months or more, at three universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Gangwon-do with three kinds of scale including communication adaptability, non-verbal communication and volunteering satisfaction. I applied multiple regression analysis and interaction testing for moderation effect, the result showed two types of hypotheses are all significant. In conclusion, this study found that communication is critical factor of volunteering as a civil society activities, and several discussions and suggestions were presented to facilitate communication for social service fields with collegian volunteers.
