ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of human rights education in Korean higher education. Especially, this research focused on Human Rights centers in universities. Using empirical data on the environment and action of Human Rights education, this research examines and evaluates. Finding suggests that Human Rights education of Human Rights centers has not notably enlarged. The main themes are few social issues such as disability, labor, LGBTQ, and sexual violence, or topics of interest to students. And Human Rights education is not enough in proportion to increasing of Human Rights centers.
