AB - This study is to examine the social relationships, participation in social activities and other relevant factors which might affect community consciousness of the S area residents in an integrated way. The community consciousness was classified into member consciousness, interaction consciousness, public interest consciousness as to acquire precise understanding and find practical implication for developing community consciousness. To achieve this goal, 600 of the residents in the S area were surveyed for 2 month(Feb.-Mar., 2019) and 600 of their answers were analyzed based on regression model. The results are as follows. It appeared that social relationships(+), participation in social activities(+) had significantly influenced on the community consciousness in S area residents. In detail, social relationships(+), participation in social activities(+) had significantly influenced on the member consciousness, social relationships(+), participation in social activities(+) had significantly influenced on the interaction consciousness, social relationships(+) had significantly influenced on the public interest consciousness of the S area residents. On a basis of these results, guided and assisted in order to develop the community consciousness by increasing social relationships’ programs and participation in social activities.
