AB - 本稿的目的, 是在于探讨柳永词与唐宋民间词之关係, 而达到对柳永词形成过程的新理解.
首先从≪古今词话≫的一段记载，可以知道柳永读过<眉峯碧>词之后才感觉到作词章法.因此本稿试图柳永词与<眉峯碧>词之比较，而得到有意味的结果.那就是它们都在创造中追求变化，具体来说它们把景物的描写与感情的叙述交叉组织，而获得更好的艺术效果.
在第二部，我们从唐代民间词，卽所谓敦煌词,调査与柳永词的相关性. 但是敦煌词与柳永词, 没有直接的相关性. 它们在形式, 题材和作品的结构, 都不一样. 它们只是在词调的名称上, 有一点相关性, 但这只是表面上的聯关, 而不是直接的而根本的关联.
在第叁部, 再对宋代民间词, 调査硏究与柳永词之关联性. 而在这里, 我们可以发现与柳永词之類似点. 那就是, 在基本模式(宋初体)中追求变化, 但柳永不满一般的变化, 而追求更复杂的特殊结构. 宋代民间词与柳永词的相似点的背景, 就是北宋初音乐的变化和创作环境的变化. 柳永和宋代民间词的作者, 为了适应新的变化, 把景物的描写与感情的叙述交叉组织, 而其间再揷入描写与敍述之间的交叉. 因此, 柳永获得宋词的奠基者的名声.
其实, 柳永创作出很多作品, 其创作方法也很多. 但这宋初体的变形, 也许成为慢词的基本结构.因此柳永在民间词的影响之下,自己保有创新的功劳. 而这样的事实, 在理解宋初词坛, 也有很好的幇助.
