AB - Lishangyin, who had both splendor and melancholy, accepted their poetry style, inherited and learned it, and reflected it in his works. Lishangyin inherited the tradition of “Book of Odes” and “The Verse of Chu” to strengthen the literary soil. He had extraordinary imitation and affaction for Songyu, Ruanji, Panyue, Yuxin who were the writers before the Tang Dynasty and as senior writers, he had a strong inheritance and respect for Dufu, Hanyu, Lihe. Because he encountered the wrong era though he had outstanding talent, Lishangyin seems to have felt more sympathy for the writers who were in a similar position to him than the writers who were socially high and noble. He must have wanted to have a relationship with a friend who would truly know himself as he was born in this lonely era without knowing him. Thus Lishangyin respected the literary talents of senior writers back in time, learned and imitated them, and tried to make friends with them by teaching them in his own way through poetry. Although they could not talk openly about what's in their heart with the same ideals while living through the same period, they were friends who knew the true heart to comfort each other with the same pain. Lishangyin saw himself as if facing a mirror in the lives of old writers who suffered unaccepted hardships in the world, sympathized with their lives and comforted their hearts by repeating the traces of their lives and poems they left behind their experiences, and he was also comforted. Not a few of Lishangyin's more than 600 existing poems refer to poets who were seniors before the Tang Dynasty or in the Tang Dynasty, and their works.
Based on the works mentioned by these writers in the poem, this paper intends to examine the origins of Lishangyin's poetry.
