ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to reflect ethically on cloning of human embryos from a bio-perspective. The issues of pro and con of ethical judgement about cloning of human embryos have been confronted. We need to ethical agreement about the cloning of human embryos. Many Scientists say about the meruts of cloning and the possibilities of genetic therapy. Nevertheless, we can not ignore the risk of cloning technology. Because the experiment and research of human embryos runs the risk of dehumanization through the infringement on human dignity. There are three viewpoint about human embryos ; full personhood, property of progenitors, a potential human being. We, ethicists must study on these positions from bio-ethical perspective. And we note cloning of human embryos is not only a problem of ‘prohibition’ but also of ‘the extent or content of regulation’.
