AB - In this study, the following discussion was conducted for the liberal education subject, ‘Practical Writing for NCS’ at Dongguk University Gyeongju. First, the current status of development and operation of liberal education subjects related to NCS communication skills of universities was presented. Second, the results of the ‘Practical Writing for NCS’ survey of students who took the second semester of 2018 were analyzed and the results of the ‘Practical Writing for NCS’ learner were analyzed to enhance the plan for improving the subject. During these discussions, the students' satisfaction and opinions on the assessment of the preparation of ‘Korean Practical Writing Examination’ through the subject were analyzed as well.
Based on the above discussion, the following effects can be expected: First, measures to design and operate university liberal arts subjects aimed at fostering NCS communication skills can be derived. Second, through a study on the subject's learner's efficacy, the significance, limitations and effectiveness of the ‘practical writing for NCS’ subject can be considered by university students. Based on this, it can also derived groundwork for discussions on the function and necessity of NCS communication skills-related subjects in liberal arts education at universities.
