ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to research college students' perceptions of presentation education as a basic study of presentation education research to improve communication competence, and to present directions for developing presentation education contents. A questionnaire was conducted for 39 college students who took the presentation course and analyzed SWOT for their speaking and ability to improve through presentation classes. As a result of recognition survey, the following implications were obtained. First, specific education-related contents reflecting the characteristics of presentation genres different from the presentation classes should be reflected in the classes. Second, speech education methods such as the method of acknowledging the manuscript and speaking practice without script should be applied to the presentation class so that the manuscript can be freed from the obsession. Third, lessons such as how to write a PPT, construct a stylish PPT screen by design, and make various slides used in practice should be reflected in the contents of the presentation education. Fourth, the time for education and environmental conditions should be secured to improve attitude through training and practice, such as how to reduce tension or build confidence, and how to increase communication.
