ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of K university self-accreditation on extra-curriculum. This study examined the differences of 1,957 students in the extra-curricular participation, satisfaction, and perceptions by accreditation levels. The results show that students in the main level departments more participated in extra-curricular programs, had better access to programs, and were more satisfied with department supports and extra- curricular programs in departments than those of the basic or preliminary level departments. Second, the students in the main level departments were more satisfied with basic learning and major in-depth learning improvement programs, while the students in the basic level departments had more demands for programs to improve their major in-depth learning ability. Third, there were differences in students' perception of the effectiveness of extra-curricular programs for student agency competency by accreditation level.
