ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to seek the improvement of education using artificial intelligence through specific examples of basic science class as an extracurricular activity. This class used the ALEKS program is based on the Knowledge Space Theory (KST). Furthermore this article leads to strengthen basic learning capabilities, introduces a KST-based program to help learners understand the contents of regular subjects and includes the ways to operate this class, problems that may arise in the course of the program, and improvements. Currently, each university is looking for various ways to solve the problem of poor basic education facing. According to this study, It is expected that it will be more effective to provide an opportunity to learn essential basic science subjects using online-based programs for 8-10 weeks during the semester. Especially it is desirable to use AI or various learning tools through online media as a way to improve basic education without distinction between humanities and science and engineering. For a student's self-directed learning, class systems such as this program, which incorporates artificial intelligence, will be more effective and the academic background of the basic liberal arts will be significantly improved.
