ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine the research trend of ‘self-reflection writing’ among the types of writing in university writing education and to suggest the educational meaning and future tasks of ‘self-reflection writing’. In the reorganization of the university's writing curriculum after mid-to-late 2000, “self-reflection writing” began to attract attention as a major process, and various achievements such as the meaning and utility of introspective writing, methodology of writing using various media, systematic and practical curriculum development, autobiography and self-introduction writing, and evaluation methods were accumulated. In order to examine the trend of these discussions, 63 academic papers written from 2000 to August 2022 were analyzed, and can be largely divided into two categories. First, it is a case study that proposed a theoretical review of macroscopic discourse such as the meaning and effectiveness of introspective writing, value and status, and second, a specific writing education methodology through lecture cases, and curriculum development.
