The Effect of Board Game on Unification Education in University

In this study, the effect of board games used in university unification education on students' learning motivation, immersion, self-directedness, learning satisfaction, and unification sensitivity was analyzed. Unification education is an education that forms the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to achieve unification, and includes all stages of preparing for unification and after unification. In college liberal arts classes, most unification education is conducted in the form of lecture-style classes, but in this study, board games were used as a teaching method to increase interest in unification of college students and attract active participation. The subjects of the study were 60 first-year college students divided into 30 experimental groups and 30 control groups, and pre- and post-test were conducted. Using SPSS 26.0, this sample t-verification was conducted to examine the learning effect of board games and changes in learners in order to verify the prior homogeneity of the experimental and control groups. In the results of this study, the hypothesis that it would be effective in improving learning motivation, learning commitment, self-directedness and learning satisfaction was satisfied. On the other hand, unification sensitivity was not satisfied with higher results in the control group that did not use board games. As a result of comparing before and after class, there were significant differences in learning motivation, learning commitment, self-directedness, and learning satisfaction, so the effectiveness of learning could be confirmed. This study confirmed that it is an effective teaching method for unification education in liberal arts classes of higher education, and since unification education through board games can positively change learning effects it is expected that the teaching method using games will be activated.

Study on Education Methods for Academic Writing Using ‘Living lab’ and ‘Story funding’: Focus on writing a proposal

This article is a class case study that suggests a way to increase the efficiency of class operation through learning activities that link micro-genres in academic writing that promotes genre knowledge cultivation and statement ability. In the result of ‘Writing a Living Lab Proposal’, characteristic statement strategies such as ‘concrete development of content based on empirical data’, ‘refined expression centered on conceptual words’, and ‘clear speech focusing on core’ were confirmed. In the result of ‘Rewriting as a Story funding Proposal’, the narrative strategy of ‘show’ centered on ‘a narrative centered on multiple points of view, specific events, and dialogue’ and ‘easy, sensuous, and figurative description’ was characteristic. In addition, the ‘Living lab’ context provided an opportunity for learners to discover the potential of individual majors, hobbies, and regions. ‘Story funding proposal’ using multiple viewpoints showed the aspect of writing, which provides an opportunity to deeply examine and empathize with the various positions of members of society. This class plan, which focuses on writing in connection with the micro-genre, can be a teaching and learning method with practical power in the following respects. First, as it allows learners to complete two proposals in a short period of time, it is an effective teaching method that complements the genre fixation problem. Second, the two types of micro-genre proposal writing training are meaningful in that they are practical education on the ‘statement method’. A study on College Students' Satisfaction with Non-face-to-face Liberal Arts Education

This study investigated college students' satisfaction with non-face-to-face liberal arts education conducted in the context of COVID-19 for the past two years. The purpose of this study is to use it as a basis for the reorganization and development of liberal arts education in the future. For this study, 2,809 university students from J University were surveyed using a questionnaire, and frequency analysis and difference verification were performed. Based on the survey results, it is summarized as follows. First, strategies to motivate learners in non-face-to-face liberal arts classes and to provide feedback on tasks and grades are needed. Second, it is necessary to strengthen the ability to utilize IT in the liberal arts class, the skills necessary for employment, the use of foreign languages, the understanding of various cultures, and the ability to proactively solve complex problems. Third, in the methodological aspect of liberal arts classes, learning through relationships should be conducted. Fourth, satisfaction with the roles of teachers and learners in liberal arts classes for male students should be increased. In addition, active efforts are needed to increase the satisfaction of liberal arts classes in the College of Humanities and Engineering. Fifth, the satisfaction level of real-time online class + real-time online class was the lowest in the form of liberal arts class operation. On the other hand, the satisfaction of face-to-face class + video class and face-to-face class + face-to-face class was high. The liberal arts class should be operated based on direct interaction, and sufficient discussion and discussion should be made about proceeding with the full non-face-to-face class. Lastly, the core of liberal arts education should eventually become the educational content, and the needs and demands of learners should be reflected when composing the liberal arts education content.

The Achievements and Limitations of the Socialist Narrative Based on the Experience of the Lower Classes: Kang, Kyeong-ae『Human Problem』

This article is aimed at reading the novel 『Human Problem』, which is recognized as the best realist novel of the colonial period, and seeks to examine the achievements and limitations of the work with a focus on the “experience”. While creating works based on socialist ideologies, which were actively embraced by colonial intellectuals as the progressive ideology of the transformation of reality, he focused on the experience of the lower classes, which is characteristic of the fiction that transforms from contemporary socialist works, and focuses on how to approach and solve the problem of the lower classes, the universal human problem of capitalist society. In the meantime, the research and achievements of 『The Human Problem』have been carried out through the methodology of socialist realism, but it is believed that the meaning of the work as well as the achievements and limitations of the work can be broadly understood by reading the work through the unique themes and aesthetic features emphasized in the work without agreeing with certain ideologies, but also as an attempt to figure out how to read the work as a classic for university liberal arts education. From this point of view, when reading 『The Human Problem』 with a focus on the experience of the lower class, the work depicts the unjust oppression and suffering that the lower class peasants receive from their landowners and capitalists, mainly in the rural areas and cities. By emphasizing the experience of the characters and recreating the experience from their perspective, the suffering and oppression of the lower classes are realistically revealed. The contradiction of underclass' inability to enjoy human dignity and life by exploiting the price of their labour by landowners and capitalists is represented in this process. The experience of the work of the lower classes serves as an inevitable occasion for them to grow into agents of future real transformation, so that in the work labor is presented as the only way to solve the problems of the lower classes. Therefore, the intellectual, who is a theoretical warrior who accepts and educates socialist ideology, is located outside of the experience of work and is not recognized as the main body of social movement. Thus the privileged conception of labour as a homogeneous concept leads to the secondary or suppression of disparate contradictions within. The beautification of women's work as a woman's natural task and the reproduction of highly educated new women through images of the body as icons of luxury and debauchery fail to secure critical distance from the male-centered perspectives that internalize discrimination against women. Progressive transformation through socialist ideology and conservative consciousness coexists in contradictions.
