ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to verify the mediating effect of the writing schema and grit in the relationship between the self-directed learning ability of college students' growth mindsets. To be more specific about this purpose, it is as follows. First, it analyzes the structural relationship between growth mindset, writing schema, grit, and self-directed learning. Second, it is to verify the mediating effect of the writing schema and grit in the relationship between growth mindset and self-directed learning ability. To achieve this purpose, a survey was conducted on learners who took writing courses at H University, and 186 of them were analyzed excluding missing values. The analysis was sequentially performed using descriptive statistics analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, measurement model analysis, structural model verification, path analysis, and mediating effect analysis, and the analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was a positive correlation between growth mindset and writing schema, growth mindset and grit, writing schema and self-directed learning ability, and grit and self-directed learning ability. Second, it was found that there was a complete mediating effect of the writing schema and grit in the relationship between growth mindset and self-directed learning ability. These results show that university-level support and efforts are needed to enhance college students' writing self-directed learning skills based on their understanding of writing schemas and grits as well as growth mindsets. 이 논문은 2022년 09월 20일까지 투고 완료되어 2022년 09월 23일부터 2022년 10월 16일까지 심사위원이 심사하고 2022년 10월 17일 심사위원 및 편집위원 회의에서 게재 결정된 논문임.
