ABSTRACT

This study investigates the impact of anonymous chat tools on student satisfaction and educational effectiveness in university general education. With the recent proliferation of online learning environments, students' methods of seeking help and interacting during the learning process have evolved, raising new demands for inclusivity and technological accessibility in education. The research surveyed 588 undergraduate students at Sangmyung University to analyze how efficiency, learning effectiveness, inclusive learning environment, frequency of use, and ease of system use influence satisfaction with anonymous chat tools. Through stepwise multiple regression analysis, the study found that these factors collectively explained 63% of the variance in satisfaction with courses utilizing anonymous chat tools. The findings suggest that anonymous chat tools provide students with a safe and inclusive learning environment while effectively enhancing engagement and satisfaction in general education courses. These results expand the potential applications of educational technology and offer important implications for designing student-centered learning environments.
